Trainings & Certifications

Respond to Training Invitations

Choose Yes, Maybe or No, review the expected roster, and understand when responses close.

Use a training RSVP to tell leaders whether you plan to attend. It does not record actual attendance, complete a training requirement or award a certification. Your church must provide training access, and you must be in the event's expected audience to answer for yourself.

Open the event and respond

  1. On the web, open Trainings & Certifications > Trainings & Attendance and expand the training. On an updated iPhone or Android build, open Trainings from the menu and select it. A training notification can also open the event.
  2. Check the date, start time, timezone, location, description and any meeting link.
  3. Choose Yes, Maybe or No in your personal response controls above Who’s planning to attend?.
  4. Wait for the confirmed answer. A connection is required; a tap or pending state is not a saved RSVP.
  5. Reopen or refresh the event to verify an uncertain result before trying again.

You may revise your own answer before the saved training start time, while you remain an eligible attendee and have response access. Not responded is the initial state, not a fourth answer button.

Review who is planning to attend

Expand Who’s planning to attend? to see names, counts and response filters. The section starts collapsed; you can answer without opening it. The totals include Yes, Maybe, No and Not responded. These show plans, not attendance.

Response history is shown only where your access permits it. Church Admins may correct responses for their church. Campus leads may correct responses for members whose primary campus they lead, including after the start, when the controls are authorized. Other training-management roles do not automatically receive that authority.

Why a response is unavailable

  • The event has no start time, has been cancelled or archived, or has already started and your personal response window is closed.
  • You are not in the current expected audience, or your membership, campus or response permission changed.
  • Your connection failed or another update changed the event or answer. Refresh and review the latest state before choosing again.

Changing the event date or start time resets responses and requests a new answer. Changes to description, location, end time, meeting link or recording link preserve existing answers. A person who leaves and later rejoins the expected roster starts unanswered.

Notifications and follow-up

Upcoming timed trainings can send 24-hour and 2-hour reminders. People who answer No are excluded from those reminders for the current schedule. Date-only events cannot collect timed RSVPs or countdown reminders. Check the event directly if a device alert is missing.

For an attendance correction after training, contact an authorized leader. Changing an RSVP does not change the attendance record. See Manage Training Events and Attendance.
