Accept an Invitation from Your Church Admin

Set up your Vigilant Church Security account from a church admin invitation, then sign in on iOS or Android.

Downloading the Vigilant Church Security app does not create an account. Before you can sign in, a church admin must invite you to your church’s security team.

Before you start

  • Ask your church admin to send the invitation to the email address you want to use with Vigilant Church Security.
  • Make sure you can open that email inbox. You must use the invitation sent to that address.
  • You may install the iOS or Android app before or after accepting the invitation.

Accept your invitation

  1. Open the email with the subject “Set Up Your Vigilant Church Account.”
  2. Select Set Up Account. The invitation link expires after seven days, so complete these steps promptly.
  3. On the Set Your Password page, confirm that the church name shown is the church you expect to join.
  4. Enter and confirm your password, then select Set Password.
  5. After you see the confirmation message, return to the Vigilant Church Security app.
  6. Sign in with the same email address that received the invitation and the password you just created.

If you cannot complete setup

You did not receive the email

Check your spam or junk folder. Then ask your church admin to confirm the email address on your invitation and resend it if necessary.

The link is expired or invalid

Ask your church admin to resend the invitation, then use the newest email. Invitation links expire after seven days and cannot be reused after setup is complete.

You already have a Vigilant Church Security account

Open the newest invitation link and enter your current password to accept the invitation. If multi-factor authentication is enabled, you will also be asked for an authentication or backup code.

You signed in but do not see your church

Sign out and confirm that you used the email address that received the invitation. If the church still does not appear, ask your church admin to verify your team membership or contact support@vigilantchurch.com.

Keep your invitation secure

Your invitation link is personal and grants access to your church’s Vigilant Church Security team. Do not forward or share it.
